Movement of the Canine online course

Movement of the Canine online course

This short course is the perfect introduction to the canine musculoskeletal system, canine movement patterns and the importance of functional movement in maintaining your dogs long term musculoskeletal health.

This accessible course is designed to give you an understanding of your dog's anatomy and will show you how to identify bony landmarks and their main muscle groups. You will start to learn the function of some of the major muscles and how muscles can affect your dog’s movement patterns. Through Galen’s many years of research and treatment of thousands of dogs, we have found many indicators which can be directly associated with muscle discomfort and also pain. The link between a dog's movement and comfort level is absolutely fascinating and is something that Galen has been talking about for over two decades.

Explore the exciting topic of Functional Movement, what that term means and the types of movements all dogs should be capable of undertaking. You’ll learn how to maintain and enhance your dog's movement patterns, regardless of their life stage and mobility.
